It has the properties to release stress and anxiety; reduce feelings of depression; balance mental stability; increase self-confidence; encourage creativity; improve concentration and focus; bring direction, purpose, and clarity; and heal physical and emotional exhaustion.
The most important property being: developing faith and trust in your own personal power.
Nicole Presher, LCPC:
From my perspective I view there is no such thing as normal. We all have different backgrounds, and that makes for many different versions of normal. I want you to be the best version of YOU.
Being in therapy can make for a very vulnerable experience, and I have a firm belief that counseling is only going to work if you actually like your counselor. Your counselor needs to be your trusted guide in the journey to find yourself.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am EMDR trained.
The population I like to work with is individuals struggling with anger, oppositional/defiant behaviors, emotional regulation, mild-severe depression, grief, unhealthy attachments, and trauma.
Sam Potts, LCSW:
My goal as a counselor is to empower individuals to make lasting changes and live their best possible life. I enjoy helping people through their addiction and mental health struggles such as codependency, trauma, depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities to best suit you and meet you where you’re at. I primarily utilize CBT and DBT methods. Treatment should be an individualized experience. I strive for the best possible client-therapist relationship with trust and rapport so you can get the most out of your therapeutic experience.
